You display four Kings – one of each suit. Solid. Normal-sized. You place them face down on the table.
With a wave of your hand, you lift the top card. It’s no longer a King. It’s a small spot card – a Four of Hearts. You set it aside.
You lift the next card. Another spot card. Then the third. Then the fourth.
All four Kings have disappeared. In their place? Four ordinary spot cards.
But that’s not the ending.
You gather those four spot cards. You snap your fingers. When you open them again, the spot cards have transformed into four miniature Kings – tiny versions of the original cards, less than half the size.
You hand them out. They’re real. Miniature playing cards. The Kings have not only changed suit – they’ve shrunk.
